-- World of Beer will open its Lakewood location by St. Patrick's Day, the website Lakewood Patch reports. The bar will offer 500 bottles and 50 drafts. “We don’t consider ourselves beer snobs, but our concept is to encourage people to try something a little bit outside of their comfort zone,” co-owner Mark Pottschmidt told the website. “There’s already a great beer culture in Lakewood.” To read the full story, click here.

-- The craft beer industry grew by double digits again last year, the Los Angeles Times reports. Citing Beer Marketer’s Insights' Craft Brew News, the newspaper said craft brewers shipped 12 percent more barrels last year than the previous year. To read the full story, click here.
