-- The Cincinnati Enquirer reports on the vision and growth of Mt. Carmel Brewing Co. “My goal in life was to do something, to make a difference, to make a difference in this city. To make a mark,” co-owner Kathleen Dewey told the newspaper. “And Mike always wanted to make something. So we did.” To read the full story, click here.

-- Columbus Alive! reports on the bar at Seventh Son Brewing Co. in Columbus. "The bar itself has more than a dozen stools to belly up to for a drink," the paper says. -- The Newark Advocate reports on the Homestead Beer Co. in Heath. “There’s actually a great beer scene around here, but there was nobody making beer,” co-owner Adam Rhodes told the newspaper. “So we kind of wanted to provide that to the community.” To read the full story, click here.

-- The Business Journal in Milwaukee, citing Chicago-based Mintel, reports that sales of craft beer nearly doubled between 2007 and 2012 — growing from $5.7 billion to $12 billion. Mintel also forecasts sales to grow to $18 billion by 2018, the paper says. To read the full story, click here.
