The sixth annual Cincy Winter Beerfest -- billed as one of the top 10 largest craft beer festivals in the U.S. -- returns Friday and Saturday (Feb. 15-16) to the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati. The event attracted more than 12,000 people last year.
The event this year will include a record 105 breweries and more than 375 beers to sample. All proceeds benefit the Big Joe Duskin Music Education Foundation. Last year, more than $40,000 was raised.
The beer festival -- which follows the ongoing Cincinnati Beer Week -- includes several new features this year: an expanded connoisseur area where 15 local chefs will prepare foods, an interactive Iphone and Android app now available for download, and "quickie stations," where people can grab a pre-poured beer.
