PAV’S CREAMERY LAUNCHING RETAIL LINE OF AWARD WINNING KUSTARD AND GELATO
Pav’s Creamery, winner of the 2011 and 2012 Beacon’s Best Award for Best Ice Cream, is taking their products main stream by launching a retail line of its old fashion Kustard and authentic Gelato.
All 15 Acme Fresh Market locations now offer Pav’s old fashion Kustard in pint size containers and feature 7 to 10 flavors exclusively to the greater Akron area. Classic flavors such as Chocolate Almond, Pistachio, Nuts Over Coconut and Black Raspberry will be featured all year around.
West Point Market now features Pav’s authentic Gelato as well astheir homemade Spumoni. While each and every pint of Gelato is hand packed and made at their Portage Lakes location, Pav’s
imports their Gelato flavors direct from Bologna Italy.
“Our goal for 2013 and beyond is to get our products in the mouths of as many people as possible”, says Nik Pappas, Director of Sales and Marketing for Pav’s Creamery. “From super markets, to restaurants, local Italian Festivals and beyond.
About Pav’s Creamery:
Located in Portage Lakes Ohio, Pav’s Creamery originated as a Tasty Freeze in the early 1950’s. Robert Pavlik later purchased it in1969 and decided to change the name over to his well know “nickname”, Pav’s.
In 1978 Pav’s changed ownership once again and was purchased by Bill and Claire Micochero and to this day it has remained in the Micochero family as its now owned and operated by their daughter, Michelle.
Pav’s Creamery prides itself in serving old fashion frozen custard as well as a verity of homemade ice cream, Italian gelato and Kustard Cakes. The combination of using their old fashion 1910 batch machines made by Soeder and Sons for their Kustard and imported Fabbri flavors from Bologna Italy for the Gelato, Pav’s creates a taste that can not be replicated.
Their products can also be found on dessert menus in award winning restaurants such as Gervasi’s Vineyard, 91 Wood Oven Restaurants, The Office Bistro, Beau’s Bar and Grille and Vacarro’s to name a few.
