Wiedemann's returns to store shelves

WiedemannsThe Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Wiedemann's, an iconic beer brand in the northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area, is back on store shelves. “It feels great. It’s a big step, but really it’s just kind of the beginning still,” owner Jon Newberry, who developed the new recipe, told the newspaper.

The original Widemann Brewing Co. was founded in Newport, Ky., in the 1870s. The beer disappeared from production after 2006. Newberry bought the name and is now trying to revive the brand.

The draft beer is being made by Listermann Brewing, the newspaper says, while the bottled beer is being brewed at the Stevens Point Brewery in Wisconsin. To read the full story, click here.
